Revitalize healing music festival is really generating an exciting vibration through lots of people right now with musicians, presenters, healers, comedians and ticket buyers!

The coolest 'little' festival in Fiordland is evolving into a mini-mecca for superstar Kiwi musicians who have an ambition to mentor up-and-coming performers. This was a tradition begun by the amazing Paul Ubana Jones, although sadly he cannot make it this year. However he has passed the reins to several other key songwriters, musicians and comedians.
Don McGlashan of the Mutton Birds
Don McGlashan who has been a major part of the NZ music scene will be performing on the first night (Jan 2nd) directly after the Open Mic Night.
Open Mic Night on Sunday 2nd January is unique with emerging musicians doing a song each, interspersed with mini-performances from the stars of the Monday night concert and sandwiched between three very funny comedians as MCs. The evening will round out when organiser Tim Gow welcomes the wonderful Don McGlashan, a national treasure like no other, on to the stage! It will be a super-special first night - not to be missed.
Cafe Operana
On the main day (Monday 3rd Jan) there'll be healing activities and workshops in the morning, non-stop high caliber afternoon music, plus the main evening concert.
Musical entertainment will start from approx 1pm or earlier, with several talented up and coming musicians wowing the crowd both on the main stage, and/or out and about (weather permitting). These include: Carla & Kerstin Ladstaetter starting the concert playing classicals like Chopin. Carla also plays a mix of Irish jazz! Then Jane Maxwell’s mellow folk guitar, followed by the fabulous Cafe Operana's haunting melodies and wild gypsy dances. Ex Vietnam DJ originally from Mabel bush, Paul MacNicol, will be live on Guitar with David Pickett on bagpipes playing a modern rock/Celtic fusion.
Danny Sewell Comedy
As the evening warms up, we'll welcome back to Revitalize the popular jazz inspired folk & country duo mākin. And some may recognise the deep voice of Beekeepin' Pete from Alice Springs who was also at last year's Revitalize. Then we’ll be introducing well known musical tunerman Brad MacClure playing guitar and singing some of his songs.
Comedian trio: Danny Sewell, Jamie Patterson, and Jordan Turner will get us laughing with a variety of gags in their early evening show.
King Leo
King Leo, has only recently secured his spot, and we just know that our Blues fans, who no doubt will miss Paul Ubana Jones, will be excited by the prospect of listening to King Leo's groovy sounds.
Rounding out the evening we have our headline groups: Ceól—a much loved Celtic band around Southern parts using fiddles, flute, whistles, guitar and percussion, and finally the exciting eclectic Julian Temple Band, who were crowd favourites last year!

The activities don't stop on day 3, with a family-friendly comedy performance, plus a morning full of and healing therapies and workshops. Learn about electric vehicles and get your questions answered from the encyclopaedic knowledge of our EV expert, Alex, from Invercargill. Or take a quick course on the benefits of sabbatical fallowing - a farming technique that ensures the organic farm at Revitalize always has stacks of grass for the animals to eat and saves heaps on fertilisers. Other workshops include stand-up comedy/mc-skills (how to write and perform comedy), and celtic guitar tuning using the DADGAD method. So bring your guitar!

Not forgetting our variety of children, family and adult yoga classes, Zero Gravity® reiki energy healing, acupuncture, reflexologies and massage. All workshops and stage shows are free. Crystal Therapy
A small note about Covid-19 rules and regulations this year. We are extremely grateful that we are able to continue to run Revitalize, despite restrictions (provided we stay in the ‘orange’ traffic light zone.) We realise that some of our valued past performers and customers are not going to be able to join us this year. We sincerely hope that restrictions will be lifted for next time. Meanwhile, we will do everything we can to make those that can come along feel safe and protected within the framework that the law allows us to operate. Please come along double vaccinated passport in hand or phone ready to scan with ID.
Avoid the queues at the gates by pre-purchasing your tickets and drive straight through to park where, instead of wristbands, you’ll collect your lanyard/mask which you must either wear (you can wear your own) or have visibly attached to you throughout the festival.
There's something for all enlightened humans; food for your soul, your ears, your body, and your mind.
